Ingredients
1sheetfrozen puff pastry, thawed1 sheet from 17.5 ounce package
3ouncescream cheese, brought to room temperature or cut into cubes
1Tbspmilk
1TbspDijon mustard
2cupschopped fully-cooked ham
2cupsfrozen green peas
1egg yolk
1Tbspcold water
1TbspTrader Joe's Everything But the Bagel seed mix or other seed of your choice (such as sesame or poppy)
Instructions
Heat oven to 400°. On lightly floured parchment paper, roll pastry into a 10x15 rectangle. Place parchment on a cookie sheet. Make 2 inch cuts at 1 inch intervals along the long side of the rectangle (see photos).
Heat cream cheese, milk and mustard in a two-quart suacepan over low heat, stirring constantly, just until smooth. Stir in ham and peas.
Spoon ham mixture down the middle of the pastry rectangle. Lift pastry over filling, crisscrossing strips over the top (see photos).
Beat egg yolk and cold water in a small bowl; brush over the top of the braid with a pastry brush. Sprinkle with seeds
Bake for about 25 minutes or until pastry is puffed and light golden brown.
